Wow- I am dead tired today. There's no good reason for it either, other than it was a VERY hot day. I also had some gastrointestinal issues, but I think it was just from eating a particular kind of spice that was new for me. It definitely wasn't food-poisoning. But, perhaps that is also making me feel lethargic. So, because of this, I'm going to keep this short and sweet.
Today we had more Wolof. I met with this guy in charge of the peace-building conference that's coming out of the Baobab Center. It sounds really interesting, and timely. He's going to send me more information via email, and I may follow-up with him.
Tonight at dinner Sayda said she would take me and Yemi to the Chinese market tomorrow after our Wolof class. She had this adorable purse and pair of shoes from this place, and said that we could find all sorts of cheap, fashionable things. YAY!!! Shopping!!! lol... I can't wait. I've been getting more and more inspired by the dress here- it's like Diesel meets Islam. I don't know how it will translate in America, but I'm willing to be the guinea pig.
Yep, that's all folks. I am dead tired. I'm going to shower and then go to bed.
A demain (until tomorrow, en francais)!

Hi Ryan...
I finally checked out your blog. That's SOOO awesome that you have been posting so much. It's exciting to read all about your adventures. I miss you!
Things are still pretty groovy with me... I'm looking into grad schools more these days. Even some related to Political Science, International Relations, or Urban Planning. I noticed the little comment about not being all that interested in politics... boo! j/k
By the way, I'm sure you've heard, but Hilary is out now. :-( I'm not sure if I can get myself to vote for Obama come fall.
Anyhoo... hopefully I can chat with you again soon. When you get back, you can see my improvise (or just witness my craziness again first hand).
love yah!
Billy
